Vintage Cross Stitch by Lorber Industries 1986 pattern # 4765
Interesting piece of fabric from Lorber Industries - Made in the USA - has a print of cross stitching on fabric in green, yellow and blue on a pink background. The front face of the fabric is flat while the back of the fabric has a fluffy nap going on.
There is not much stretch in the fabric, and since Lorber primarily produced fabric for drapery I would think this is what this piece of fabric was meant to be.
It appears that Lorber Industries closed down around 2001, however, there are still a few things on record dating to around 2006. So I would be quite correct in saying that this fabric would be hard to find.
This is a vintage fabric, decades old. And although it's been in storage in a dry, safe place, it does not show any degree of age. It LOOKS like a vintage fabric, not a new fabric.. This fabric is for projects using vintage patterns and crafts for an authentic look. This particular fabric does not have any fading, and is in pretty close to mint condition
Fabric is clean and ready for cutting out your project!!!!
Print: Cross Stitch
Background Color(s): Pink
Print Color(s): Yellow, Baby Blue and Green
Print Pattern: Each cross stitch in the fabric pattern is 1 x 0.8 cm across.
Length: 160" (4.45 yards). (Continuous length)
Width: 61" (This does not include the 2" & 1/2" selvedge.
Content: I am completely at a loss to what this fabric content could be, however, it could be a knit of some sorts. I stand to be corrected.
Care: This is a suggestion: Machine wash cold to avoid any color run. Tumble dry low heat. Not really needed but if you must - Iron on reverse side medium heat.
Notes: Various uses include a baby blanket or clothing item, since the back is very soft.
It does not smell musty and I cannot find signs that it was kept around pets.
Some pictures and colors may vary due to differences in camera lighting and/or monitor settings.
All fabric is described as is and kept in a smoke free environment.
